On March 2, 2024, a deadline was reached, one which was with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO). Rianne Schestowitz had until then to file a Form 2 - Response.

Back in November 2023, I filed a human rights lawsuit in Ontario against Tux Machines, run by Rianne Schestowitz.

I don’t yet know if she actually filed a response because it will take time for the HRTO to process it if they received it, but her husband constantly says this is sexual harassment and a fake lawsuit. I wouldn’t be surprised if she ignored it, but if she did ignore it then this should be a short lawsuit.

On Saturday, January 27, 2024, the HRTO reached out to both of us.

This is from a chat log published by her husband, Roy Schestowitz on Sunday, January 28, 2024 (GMT):

[04:18] schestowitz[TR] The harassment  against my wife continues today (Sunday).

[04:18] schestowitz[TR] escalating to the police again

And again on Monday, January 30, 2024 (GMT):

[01:26] schestowitz[TR] yesterday my wife reported a crime to the police

Rianne had reported me to the police in violation of S.8 and S.9 of the Code.

Reprisals

8 Every person has a right to claim and enforce his or her rights under this Act, to institute and participate in proceedings under this Act and to refuse to infringe a right of another person under this Act, without reprisal or threat of reprisal for so doing.  R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, s. 8.

Infringement prohibited

9 No person shall infringe or do, directly or indirectly, anything that infringes a right under this Part.  R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, s. 9.

This is not the first time I’ve had an unreasonable party report me to the police for exercising my rights under the law, and while it wasn’t the HRTO, I believe it is relevant because Rianne likely calls me a criminal because of this case:

" No person should have to face arrest and criminal charges for exercising the right to make an application for review before the Board." - Britney Lozza v Jason A. Tereszko operating as Northern Nerds, 2020 CanLII 62081 (ON LRB)

It is important to stand up to transphobic bullies who try and paint you as a villain.

Time will tell what happens next.
