We as Canadians can all do our part to fight the fascist menace: The United States of America.

Boycott the USA’s Big Tech

I’ve noticed that many of the solutions offered by the Canadian goverment have oddly not targeted big tech. That is a mistake.

Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Apple, et al, often make money either by selling your data or by selling anonymized data based on what you do.

Let’s put this in perspective.

Facebook has made billions selling data about Canadians.

Cut them off.

Delete Facebook.

And let’s not stop with Facebook.

I’ve also deleted my account on X and I stopped using Gmail.

There are many reasons people use big tech services and I can’t blame them. This isn’t about free software vs proprietry.

Do you use Google Mail (Gmail)? Pay money to Protonmail. It’s not American.

I fully agree and support people who are voting with their wallets against the United States.

The USA is run by a convicted criminal. Even if he makes a deal, we can’t believe it means anything.

He is a scumbag criminal liar and has zero credibility.

There are apps you can use that will allow you to scan the barcode of a product in order to find out where it was made.

You can’t always buy Canadian, but it is pretty easy to avoid buying USA.

Other countries aren’t doing this to us.

I’ll continue to monitor the situation. Next month the server will be moving again.
